FLIP: Limitless Ideation
What if sticky notes become a tangible user interface?
FLIP is a 3-in-1 system that facilitates ideation through meaningful interactions. Designed to retain the familiarity of the current creative process while taking advantage of the digital world we live in, we can change how environmental-friendly sticky notes could be in the creative industry. With unspoken essential features such as search bar, filter and archive, FLIP is here to provide all users with power to ideate limitlessly.

01 Current Ideation Journey
—
Getting started with the project, we have first identified unfavourable experiences of the current ideation journey. From the list of unfavourable experiences that we have identified, we have shortlisted these 3 experiences which will serve as design opportunities for us to work on.
02 FLIP Pen & FLIP Pad
—
A FLIP Pen is essentially the tool for users to write or draw. It comes with coloured touch surfaces for the user to select and change the colour of the digital sticky note and toggle switch for the user to glide to change the line weight.
The palm-sized FLIP Pad fits comfortably in your hands just like the conventional sticky-notes. It has a central sensor which allows your ideas to be written or drawn in any orientation. To delete the existing content on the FLIP Pad, you can simply scribble over the content using the FLIP Pen. Metadata is captured and is transferable to another device.
03 FLIP Board
—
The FLIP Board is where the magic happens. Shifting of ideas is faster than ever as you can just glide them across the screen and changing the colour of the digital “sticky note” is as simple as to point the FLIP Pen at the FLIP Board with the selected colour. You can make an indication directly on the board to highlight the ideas that you like and by toggling the filter, FLIP Board can display the key ideas that you are keen to explore. With just a few taps, you can save and export the ideation for future references.
