PT: Corita Kent (1918 – 1986) foi uma freira, designer, artista, professora e defensora da justiça que utilizou da Pop Art como uma ferramenta de ativismo para promoção da paz e justiça social. Com o desejo de celebrar sua visão de mundo, criei este livro não comercial, contendo um pouco sobre sua história e algumas de suas obras mais icônicas.
EN: Corita Kent (1918 – 1986) was a nun, designer, artist, teacher and justice advocate who used Pop Art as an activism tool to promote peace and social justice. With the desire to celebrate her worldview, I created this non-commercial book, containing a little about her history and some of her most iconic works.
PT: Durante a criação do projeto gráfico do livro foram utilizados elementos das obras da artista, como nos exemplos acima. Para as guardas do livro, utilizei o cartaz que contém as Regras do Departamento de Arte do Colégio Imaculado Coração, escritas por Corita Kent para seus alunos e presente em suas salas de aula.
EN: During the creation of the graphic design of the book, elements of the artist's works were used, as in the examples above. For the guards of the book, I used the poster that contains the Rules of the Art Department of Colégio Imaculado Coração, written by Corita Kent for her students and present in their classrooms.
