Modern Loneliness-- Case Study

Modern Loneliness-- Case Study
We live in a time where we have the whole world at our fingertips. We can form more relationships now more than ever within the comfort of our own homes.

Although this is the case, anxiety and depression are exponentially growing. My client wanted to spread awareness that modern loneliness looks different now-a-days--we can be with people but still feel lonely, and that is okay--we do not need to be happy all the time.

Feedback
My client did not like the idea of laying in bed because they wanted the concept to be more unique. They also said they wanted the color pallet to not have lots of neutrals but have a deep saturation to contrast the skin color of the person.

They liked the Polaroid idea because it signifies memories. With that, I suggested that the person be crying because they of their emotions overwhelming them.

Here was the final product:
Meeting Their Needs
I was able to reach their needs by adapting the concept to what they were envisioning. Within the creation of the motion graphic, I animated the parts of the person's face that they wanted.

I started over multiple times in the animation of the eyes, the tear, and the lips to make sure they were pleased with how they moved.
Results
The client was able to post this motion graphic to their social media accounts to give awareness to mental health and was able to go against the stigma  that anxiety and  depression are bad; it was successful and reached a lot of people.
