The Hero's Journey - a classic storytelling format. I wanted to create a animatic that had our protagonist learn a lesson that was palatable to all ages. Here we have Mollywog, a fairy who learns that beauty isn't the only thing that matters, and that it's not just skin deep. Created using Photoshop and After Effects. These are development pieces for my animatic titled "Mollywog," about a fairy who learns beauty isn't only skin-deep. I tried to establish the whimsical vibe early on with early concept photos, silhouettes, character lineups and thumbnails. I also created a (scrolling) three page comic about Mollywog's adventure!
