I’ve always wanted to achieve and maintain overall fitness as part of my lifestyle routine, however I never really got down to it even before the whole lock-down, that’s why I chose to focus on developing endurance both physically and mentally in a 20 hour challenge.

Data was collected by learning a new skill or program in 20 hours, which was broken into 2 hours a day for 10 days. The aim is to make people aware and walk them through learning a new skill or program, to document the overall experience of the process.  

Documentation was gathered through fitness, cardio exercises were conducted to achieve building endurance.

At first I went for a landscape layout however, with the final design I decided to go with the portrait layout, via experimentation the design worked out quite well in terms of giving both keys a balance..

Rationale 

Having such a flexible brief in terms of choosing what you want to do has really opened doors to exploration and has invited positive creativity. I personally enjoyed participating in this project as the benefits outweigh the training and to be able to do something like commit to cardio really will improve your overall health and well being, so I encourage everyone to give this a try. What turned out as a 20 hour challenge has become more than just a challenge as I have continued with fitness even after the 10 day mark. For the final design output, warm and cool colors were used to suggest the warm up and cool down phases in exercising, a Work Sans typeface has been selected, the design was inspired from a smart watch or stop watch and the data which sits within the watch space  is encompassed within an infinity symbol which also represents a 2.5 lap that is made up of thoughts and experiences whilst participating in this project.
