The smell of camphor, the warmth of diyas, the echoes of hymns and the sight of three magnificent colourful idols staring down at you is what my memories are from every trip
to Jagannath Mandir in Puri. The malformed idols have always captivated me - the circular eyes, the soot on the body, the punchy coloured clothes.
