MFA Exhibition

After quiet a long wait during these uncertain times, I have finally been able to secure a date and a venue for my MFA exhibition.  In order to maintain the health and safety of my superiors, examiners, gallery staff and myself I have decided that my exhibition will not be open to the public. The exhibition will be used solely for the evaluation of my practical work so that I can complete my MFA before the end of this year.

Exhibition details:

Installation/set up: 31st August -5th September 2020

Exhibition: 7th -12th September 2020

Venue: DUT Art Gallery
 

Reflection

At this point I don’t really know how I feel about this situation, it all seems a bit surreal to finally be at the end point of this study as I have been doing this MFA for so many years. I am slightly sad that my family, friends and colleagues will not get the opportunity to view my show physically at this point in time, but I can always host a public exhibition at a later stage. My main aim is to just get this study completed now so that I can graduate and move forward with my career. It has been a very stressful year and COVID 19 has created so many unforeseen obstacles but this a situation that many other students have also had to face.
