One of the first creatures ever made. Generally considered a bad move, the gods tried to destroy every Grootslang but one escaped. The gods split the power of the Grootslang into the snake and elephant.

The last Grootslang now hides in a cave in Richtersveld, South Africa.



Impundulu- South Africa

A lightning bird from Xhosa and Zulu folklore, able to summon lightning and storms, this mythological bird is also a vampiric shape shifter and is often the company of witch doctors 
Ghabahali - Liberia

A creature resembling a crocodile with a shorter snout and longer legs, this Liberian mythological reptile is a legendary trophy to Liberian hunters.
