East X West / Modernism or Gentrification?
The idea of East meets West have always been appealing to me, we spend too much time trying to either stick to our culture and heritage or go the complete opposite and become what is a complete westernized person and that is unfortunately our society currently, yet the really interesting things lie in the grey area in between. This experiment is trying to bend the boundaries of context by creating a surreal architectural composition transporting elements from the West and placing it in the context of Egypt and vice versa.
