This is the title sequence for Andy J. Pizza's Creative Pep Talk podcast, a podcast that features advice and interviews to help creatives in their careers. Andy, an illustrator, has a playful and allegorical style to his work that also sets the tone for his podcast. The sequence combines frame-by-frame animation for a loose and energetic feel appropriate for the "pep" he brings to the show. These unconventional mystical characters appear to represent the raw ability listeners of the show possess and can further develop, refine, and harness to achieve success in their creative careers. 

The thumbnails capture the initial ideas to feature footage of creatives at work. The illustrations explore different characters to be animated. The text was also hand-lettered to further match the personality and tone of the podcast.

Initial style frames (above) showed that the footage in the background was too busy and distracting, especially with the overlaying animations. They were converted to duotone for a cleaner appearance that didn't detract from the animations (sample style frames below). The characters and their actions were simplified, animated, and a soundtrack from the show (by Alex Sugg) was used for the audio in the final piece.
