The Boot Louisiana Cuisine is a restaurant that wanted to remove the stigma that Louisiana food is all seafood. The goal was to incorporate all the flavors of the iconic boot into one casual dining experience that locals and tourists alike would find warm and inviting. 
I found a chalk theme was the best way to incorporate the rural nature of Louisiana without targeting one specific region. By incorporating emblems for each of the three protein groups, we are setting the groundwork for the menu itself. 
I chose a broad color scheme to add fun to the branding. These four colors allow to mix and match throughout the restaurant and open up the door for fun frequent changing chalk board art.  
By using multiple colors, I have also created a logo that can adapt to many uses and backgrounds.
I collected popular and well-used saying from matriarchs all around the state to add that down-home feeling to the brand. These fun quotes can constantly change and evolve adding humor to the atmosphere of The Boot. 
The menu is broken into the usual separate selections such as appetizers, drinks, and sides. The entree section is where the real thought comes in. Each entree is separated into three protein groups with fun headers to let you know what part the The Boot, Louisiana that is, the food comes from. 
For the staff I chose a casual approach as this is a casual dining experience. The goal is to have a design that appeals to both the staff wearing them and the guest who may also like to purchase as a souvenir of their Louisiana vacation. 
To-go bags offer another fun avenue to use the changing color scheme and quotes. I wanted a big design that would excite a diner when they see the signature bag holding their favorite restaurants food within.
