THE BEE
This digital illustration was inspired by a World Magazine article by Lynde Langdon titled "Bee in the Bonnet". The article is about The Babylon Bee, a popular satirical news site among evangelical Christians and political conservatives. Langdon notes that while the satire site has been very successful in amassing a large fanbase, it has also drawn its fair share of criticism. Critics claim that The Babylon Bee facilitates the spread of misinformation due to the fact that a significant portion of online readers inaccurately register satirical content as factual. The illustration below depicts reporters from mainstream news organizations as they glare in disapproval at The Babylon Bee (depicted as an actual bee), as it light-heartedly distributes satirical newspapers.
