Murals of Detroit is a book I made for my Typography class at Wayne State University. I was inspired by coffee-table art books and wanted to make a compact square book for this project. My design relies heavily on symmetry and negative space to make it look modern and minimalistic. I further emphasized these styles but using a thin sans-serif font. The book was printed on thick glossy paper and was perfect bound so it lays completely flat when opened. This might be one of my favorite projects to date because it embodies some of my favorite design styles.
