Induction Appliances

The line of appliances is designed for a conceptual kitchen where induction transmitters are embedded within the countertop to create a powered work surface. The countertop multi-functions as an induction cooktop and source of power for small appliances. This makes for an efficient use of space and eliminates cables entirely.

Induction technology uses an electric current and magnetic field to indirectly transfer energy from a power source to a receiving object. It’s commonly used to power devices such as phones and tablets in addition to heating up cooking vessels on an induction cooktop. Combining these two functionalities results in a kitchen countertop that can be used for both cooking and powering appliances. In the same way that a stove has burners and knobs, the counter has designated power zones and an interface to turn on the system.
