A side table is an auxiliary table placed next to a bed or sofa. From our keys to TV remote controls. a side table has everything we need. After an intense research on modern lifestyles, I wanted to come up with a side table that fulfills all the requirements of modern living rooms, helps our belongings to be more accessible, and of course improves space efficiency. I took inspiration from Scandinavian minimalist interiors and Pantone furniture to meet with the current design trends.
In order to design a furniture piece, I studied various manufacturing processes. The initial stage started with some paper sketches followed by scale models for ideation.
After few functionality tests carried out with several scale models, I further a few concepts. My focus was on sheet bending process as it is very cost effective and easily available anywhere.

BentX is obtained by bending a sheet metal with corresponding angles using desired radius to steer its stability.
