Os Sonhadores
Este é um livro sobre uma pacata cidade nos Estados Unidos, que é transformada por uma misteriosa doença. Seus habitantes caem aos poucos em um sono profundo, perpétuo, e os que continuam acordados precisam aprender a seguir com a vida e a sobreviver - sem saber se irão acordar no dia seguinte.
Para o projeto gráfico de “Os Sonhadores”, criamos algo visualmente onírico mas que não fosse completamente abstrato. Como elemento principal, temos um personagem que dorme um sono profundo. Para compor, trouxemos manchas coloridas que representam os sonhos e funcionam como fundo. Criamos também uma textura que, aplicada sobre um fundo escuro, remete para um céu estrelado, e que quando aplicada sopre um fundo claro representa o vírus que se espalha. As cores vivas que usamos, porém, trazem algum otimismo, um sentimento que existe no livro e que nos faz pensar que "nem tudo está perdido".
This is a book about a quiet city in the United States, which is transformed by a mysterious illness. Its inhabitants gradually fall into a deep, perpetual sleep, and those who remain awake need to learn to move on with life and to survive - without knowing whether they will wake up the next day.
For the graphic design of “Os Sonhadores”, we created something visually dreamy but that was not completely abstract. As a main element, we have a character who sleeps soundly. To compose, we brought colored spots that represent dreams and work as a background. We also created a texture that, applied on a dark background, refers to a starry sky, and that when applied on a clear background represents the virus that spreads. The bright colors that we use, however, bring some optimism, a feeling that exists in the book and that makes us think that "not all is lost".
