Eastcomtrans. Website Intro Banner. 3D Animation

Being a 3D Artist in Petrit Ltd. I worked on this project for Eastcomtrans, Kazakhstan. I have had to create a line in a sky which draw main objects of interest of this logistics company. All work done with 3ds max, later I did polishing pass in After Effects.

Reference video

Before start I was given a ref. video of Korean Express company and asked to perform same animation but with other objects. It actually was interesting because I already did something similar before just for self education and I got the project which has similar requirements.

Storyboard

So I did really simple storyboard with main objects to show to the client how it will be and started to work on the animation and different approaches of drawing objects outline with a ribbon.

Work progress

I built a scene in 3ds max and set basic timings with camera and ribbon fly. After that I just tuned the timings to fit the requirements and client's vision. Clouds were just a planes with textures, also I had hemisphere for the sky background. All the outlines were created in illustrator and then imported into 3ds max.

Post-processing

Eventually I did a post-process of final video in after effects with bloom, color corrections and other stuff. Client vision but as for me original video is clearer for my taste :)
