Redesign a tip-share platform for Kintips limited
OVERVIEW
Kintips provides a tips sharing platform for users to exchange their thoughts of horse racing and allow them to sell tips for extra money.
The goal of this project was create an application to attract more user to join this platform, sharing or selling their tips to get extra money.

CHALLENGE
Our target audiences were middle aged male and elderly. The app should be clear and concise. However, there was too many color and no main theme color in the last version. The tips page was lack order and filter, users may get confused when buying tips.
SOLUTION
First of all, I had chosen blue as the main theme color. Blue color can make people easily associated with innovation and technology, like Facebook and Twitter. This is an innovative tips sharing platform.
Since the target audiences are middle aged male and elderly, the page of registration had simplified in order to guide the users to finish their registration step by step.
In terms of font size, we amplified the font size to 20-25pt rather than 12-14pt in order to take care our user experience.

Tips is the most important function and it is home page. There were three main index on the UI of tips: score, return rate and accuracy rate.
I added three color circular bar to distinguish them clearly.
Also, I had added order and filter function, removed the name of horses, so the users can follow the tips to bet more rapidly.

From the last version, the data showed that not many users share tips in the platform. Therefore I added ‘Create Tips’ in bottom menu so as to encourage users to share tips.
Finally, ‘Chatroom’ was a good feature to keep the number of active users. In the last version, all the comments were mixed together. We modified Chatroom to distinguish others and own comments easily.
