The typeface Piet was created as a part of the exhibition „Linie zu Fläche“. The exhibition shows large scale murals, the minimalistic geometric compositions are based on a modular system. Piet refers to this system, the typeface consists of the same shapes. The main characteristic is the high contrast between the fine and the bold lines. The open forms of the glyphs create an optical break and highlight the deconstructive character.
