The Brief | What I had to do
The brief wanted me to redesign the Penguin books website that's responsive. At the beginning of 2015, Google revealed it would have moved down its search results list all websites which did not adhere to a compliant web strategy. I'll also need to explain my understanding of the concepts of responsive web design. By developing a responsive website and present a complete user experience from the landing ,registration (form), to purchasing and a check-out .
My Approach | How I did it
Looking at the current Penguin website i saw a gap which gave me an opportunity to use the beautiful book covers as the main attraction, giving me an innovate idea which i used to create an bookshelf type of experience you'd get if you had to buy a book in real life. This also gave me freedom to use the Penguin colours to create a simple modern design which also gave the books the stoplight.
My Process | How I got it done
The menu design was a mixture of both the Amazon menu & the UK Penguin menu design. The reason i picked this was because the Amazon menu had a better checkout journey while the design was from the UK Penguin website
