If God had to grant my one wish,
I would have asked Him to take your pain away,
But I know it's not the time yet,
So I keep on to pray,
There must have been so much,
You wanted to say,
But he's not here anymore,
But you still hope,
He's standing by the hallway.

I know you miss your father,
I know he's gone too soon,
I know you feel suffocated,
That's why you stare at the moon,
You feel empty or maybe all at once,
Maybe that's why you wait for the monsoon.

I know his death has brought some changes,
A boy in front of me,
Looked as he has crossed a million ages,
He has got a mother to protect now,
And to cross many bridges,
Maybe he is blocking all the voices,
Who aren't helping but making noises,
But I guess he will listen to a friend,
Who is trying to keep him warm from a distance.

Although the time is tough,
And he's got too much stuff,
I know he can handle it well,
As He has gone through pretty rough,
He's water and knows his way,
Careful! You might not want him to play,
Because it's his game and he's strong,
He won't allow anyone to mess and then runaway.

He will manage and will come out of the shell,
He always does and I'm so proud of him,
Because he has proven he's a good man,
And makes his father smile down from the heaven,
He's hurting and can't breathe,
But Just know my friend,
You will come out of this it is certain.
Just when you think you have lost it all,
I would be here to share your burden.
