I'm very organized, but some consider it acute ocd. I think that because of this, I sometimes find the creative process crippling. It can be very formulaic and I feel the need to meet certain check points before I go further. 100 posts was my own personal FUCK YOU to myself and my inhibitions. I've created a collection of drawings. I didn't over analyze, there weren't any critiques or sleepless nights. Just some good ol' fashioned doodling.
100 posts was a personal exercise to create a body of work that reflects one of my favorite subjects, my experiences with people. I chose friends from Facebook at random and whatever memory I immediately thought of, I drew. My restrictions were to use minimal materials-- Sharpies and Post-It Notes.
I hope everyone I referenced with each Post-It recalls the memory as fondly as I did when I was drawing it. If so, then it's served its purpose.
