Appendicitis

Appendicitis is a painful swelling of the appendix. Symptoms include pain around the navel and then on the lower right side of the abdomen, accompanied by nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and fever. If untreated, the appendix can burst and secrete pus and cause a systemic infection; in that case, surgical intervention is required.

This piece was inspired by my brother who recently had this medical issue. I wanted to capture that intense abdominal pain I've read about, and that he felt before the surgery. All his feedback guiding this project was really usefull.
