For this final project, I was given the assignment to redesign and reformat a magazine. I decided to work with ELLE Magazine due to the variety in material the articles provide and creativity of the design.

Using Adobe InDesign, I created grids and and margins, to enable consistency throughout each page in my magazine. I grabbed the text for my magazine straight from ELLE Magazines online posting. I played around with where the pictures should go on my pages, making sure there was not too much text and too little picture. Then I moved on to create the front and back cover, where I maintained the ELLE Magazine aesthetic, with a simple but striking statement. I chose to play around with adding different eye pictures to the cover to signify the stories of everyone inside the pages of the magazine. This idea is continued on the back. 

Using Adobe Photoshop, I brought over my magazine and added them to 3 different mockups. The first showcases the cover and its detail. The second and the third mockups are to showcase the pages within the magazine.

I have never worked with Adobe InDesign before, so this was a first, but I loved being able to learn these techniques and play with how to design a magazine.
