Lindt Chocolate Packaging

State of Intent
This Lindt Chocolate packaging redesign of the Excellence illustrates the joyful and exciting flavor by using the abstract shapes while retaining the original notion of luxury and premium quality. “Excellence” is aligned on the same angle as the black background which brings an excitement and movement to this packaging. By adding a thin gentle curve to the edge of “E” implies richness and acquired taste that Lindt has. 

LindtのExcellenceシリーズのパッケージのredesign。本来のExcellenceの高級で贅沢な味わいを残しつつ、抽象的な形を使うことによって喜びと刺激的な味を表現している。Excellenceは黒の背景色と並行に並べたことでパッケージに動きを加えた。Eの先端を滑らかに伸ばすことによりチョコレートの高級な舌触りと味わいを示唆している。
Moodboard
There were 3 initial concepts for this packaging; joyful, classic, and luxurious. The current Lindt packaging was using the actual ingredient image into the design and seems no difference between other companies such as GODIVA and Ghirardelli. Thus, I really challenged myself not to mimic that and using patterns and abstract shapes were my ideas. 

一番最初に3つのコンセプトがあった;喜び、古典的、そして贅沢。現在Lindtのパッケージは実際原料として使われている材料を写真にしてデザインに組み込まれていてGODIVAやGhirardelliといった競合社と似ている。したがって、模様や抽象的な形を使うことで他社と差別化を図ろうとした。
