See You at the Pole is when students gather outside their schools to pray. My daughter decided to take the initiative this year to ask the principal what she could do to spread the word about SYATP next Wednesday Sept. 25th. Since there is not enough time to get the posters from the website, I headed to school, took a photo of the flags - a great excuse to practice my Illustrator skills. I hope my daughter likes the poster so we can get it printed & hung in school! I hope she will see more students gather to pray this year.
I am one to take the visual volunteer projects like a flyer. Last year the middle school was collecting food for the Backpack Project where students can take a backpack home full of food for the weekend. The students also donated their spare change to raise money to sponsor a backpack for a year. So, the school ended up with $200 enough for 2 backpacks for a year!
Bright colors are the way to go with middle school to cath their with posters. I loved drawing all the food illustrations!

Back in my school days friends would come to me to do the cover or illustration for various projects.
This is how full the PTSA president's truck was with all the food to be donated to the church for the Backpacks. Way to go East Forsyth Middle School!
ThhThe PTA sponsors an art program to enhance the public school art program. Students think about a theme and create a work in one of 6 categories. i am one to be doing the creating. in this case I am using my creativity to hopefully catch students eyes to decide to particpate. My scrapbooking layout skills come in handy. That layout skill inspires my interest in graphic design as well.
