Background:
The COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns have forced the majority of the global office workforce to work from home. The lockdowns will eventually pass; however, it is likely that the lockdowns will leave their mark on society and that a degree of social distancing will remain. The overwhelming response for why people want to return to the office is to feel a sense of belonging with a community, around shared values, as well as to collaborate and to socialize. Collaboration and socializing are understood to lead to innovation and creative solutions.

It is now widely accepted that the workplace environment is intrinsically dynamic as opposed to something that is fixed. This has primarily been driven by technological developments, changing ways of work and more recently the COVID-19 pandemic which has continued to transform how office workers stay connected to their colleagues and clients, calling office workers to work in more agile ways. Workplaces, therefore, must provide spaces for connection - both digitally and face-to-face with an emphasis on the variety of options available within the overall environment - the ecosystem of zones.

Requirements:
To design an office space fit-out that reflects the corporate culture and brand essence of the selected brand, so that it supports work, interaction and wellbeing, whilst being sustainable, context and COVID-19 conscious and supporting a user's sense of place. This intervention should demonstrate a positive response that transforms the site into a healthy space that supports the wellbeing of the occupants.
