Guidance for Retailers of Tobacco. In Wales.
Ambient were commissioned by the Wales Heads of Trading Standards (WHoTS) to design an information brochure to provide retailers with important information on all aspects of tobacco control legislation enforced by local Welsh Trading Standards Services.
It provided the retailers with advice on how to comply with the law and protect their businesses, and signposted as to where they could obtain further information or report any concerns they may have had.
The guide set out in sections dealing with:
• Underage Sales of Tobacco
• Tobacco Labelling
• Counterfeit Tobacco
• Niche Tobacco Products
• Tobacco Advertising at the Point of Sale
This project was not a Health Campaign and thus had to be clear and concise and dealing with ONLY Legislation pertaining to the sales of tobacco products.
Additionally the project was to be produced in both Welsh and English. Given that Ambient are not Welsh speakers, this presented some issues mainly in relation to word counts and allowing for page design and tyopgraphic style sheets.
