OBJECTIVE

To overcome Walgreen’s antiquated in-store music delivery platform with below-corporate-standard security provisions by developing music programming across 18 channels that included branded product messaging. The goal was to create playlists that matched regional demographics and Walgreen’s global brand.

SOLUTION

Developed a custom soundDNA® for Walgreens that complemented their regionalized footprint for US Core, US Hispanic East & West, and Puerto Rico. We engineered a customized music review approval site for lyric checking and song approvals. Extended playlists included Hispanic Stores Puerto Rico music to match those regional demographics.

RESULTS

Walgreens installed and activated state-of-the-art soundDNA players in 8,000+ stores over a six-week period that exceeded client expectations and increased customer engagement by 10%, increased messaging delivery by 25% and increased delivery rate of new messages by 40%.
