This project was part of a brief for client Tiny Tree's Publishing and I was required to create a Children's book cover design and a series of internal illustrations to accompany the text inside the book. The design process began with reading through online texts of the story, finding relevant theoretical and visual research through mood-boarding, artist research and experimentation to influence my design and approach and deal with the task that was set.

Below are examples of the images I created, starting with full character designs, which I then developed further digitally using Procreate, these character designs provided a very useful starting point to create spot or half page illustrations that can sit along side the narrative in the children's book. 

The Characters bring an exciting, fresh perspective of the story Aladdin, the style in which I work is striking to a younger audience and can captivate the imagination of those beyond its target demographic.
