3D render of a hip replacement surgical table accessory. The objective was to create an economic alternative to the expensive hip replacement tables/table accessories in the market.
This concept's goal was to allow representatives from Aesculap Implant Systems the opportunity to educate, through demonstration, the benefits of the anterior (frontal) approach to hip replacement surgery as opposed to other conventional, yet more traumatic, methods.
The patient's foot is attached to the slider by a medical boot. The slide allows the patient's foot and leg to be moved at the proper angles while the "arm" can rotate 360 degrees if needed for ideal positioning. All can be locked in place.
NOTE: This is a first round, detailed concept for Lehigh University and Aesculap Implant Systems.
