Green Camper Restaurant Branding
The goal of this project was to create a concept restaurant from the ground up. This included logo design, typography, brand development, corporate identity and creating mockups that made a brand feel cohesive and complete. I wanted to create a new style of fast-food restaurant that gives people more healthy options for those who are always on the go and living a busy lifestyle. By creating this type of food option, I was able to solve one of the biggest problems we face a society, how to eat healthy on a budget and with a schedule that works for the customer. At the Green Camper, we believe that our mission is to provide a healthy fast-food option to communities by serving fruit, vegetable and salad bowls at a great price. We strive to build a loyal and healthy customer base with our superior food and friendly service.
Brand Story
Founder Chris Zulawski came up with the idea because he was tired of having to resort to fast food that was unhealthy and not giving him the nutrition he needed to get through the busy day. Chris decided that the only way to fix the undesirable situation was to be the one to create the solution. Consequently, in late 2020, the Green Camper was born. Although he was only 25 at the time, he purchased a building in Orlando, took out a few business loans, spent his money on updating the building and its appliances, and got to work on designing the menu and brand that is Green Camper. We were slow to the market in the beginning as the concept of a fast food restaurant built around health and affordability was still new. Our biggest mission when we launched Green Camper was to make other people aware and passionate about changing eating habits to make more healthy and self-conscious choices of what we eat when were on the go. And although that mission still stands to this day, we also strive to motivate our surrounding communities into living a healthier lifestyle with our affordable meals.
When designing the logo and identity for Green Camper, I began by doing research on the both the target audience and any other companies that have potential to be a competitor. This research helped me get a better understanding of the industry and what we can do differently to stand out in the crowd of fast-food restaurants. My design strategy for the brand was to incorporate a bright, healthy and natural alternative to separate what we stand for vs. what the competitor stands for. Since we're very health conscious and promoting healthy habits, I wanted the “green” aspect of our company to stand out and be the driving force in what makes us successful. After sketching multiple icons, I was finally able to hone in on what matters to the company and also what will give the guests the best experience that we can possibly offer them.
