Olivoila
Olivoila is the leading company of China’s olive oil industry. With a design upgrade of Olivoila’s long beloved olive oil gift box, we sought to raise the brand awareness further encourage the consumer’s willingness to buy.
CREATIVE IDEA

To embody its aspirational attitude, its role as a Mediterranean lifestyle messenger, striving for a better quality even after being crowned the best high-end olive oil, we could not fit in the enthusiastic figure into just an ordinary container. In this work, we challenged ourselves to step out of the typical gift box appearance and construct a new world through a collaboration with a foreign artist.
DESIGN SOLUTION

First, 8 artists were picked mainly from Europe, and we made our initial proposal with each of their package design sketches hand in hand. The chosen one was created by Jeanne Detallante, a French artist widely active in diverse fields from picture book illustrations to collaborations with top brands such as PRADA and MIUMIU. Her touch of originality enhances the enticement of the product, depicting the Mediterranean essence in a fashionable way. We focused on delivering the top-class luxurious character and artistic feel to induce the customer’s empathy. Moreover, we distanced ourselves from vague motifs of “food”, and adopted drawings of wine, ham and perfumes to reinforce the elegance and fanciness incorporated in the picture. With this gift box in front of us, we can feel the warm rays of sunlight and feel the dry summer breeze, and see the bright joyful Mediterranean scene laid out before our eyes.
