Our ode to the upcoming spring by the new-made Cabinet Solomia.
This version of the cabinet is inspired by the whirlpool of spring colors. Green, red, black, and natural - hues that remind us of the whole cycle of natural processes after the long winter’s nap.

The tender spring sun, illustrated with a natural straw color, is awakening the soil. Fertile and rested after the winter season it starts to grow out the fresh grass and buds on the trees. Warmed by the sun the buds are transformed into flowers that mesmerize us with their sweet smell.
Such an ordinary but essential year-to-year process that we can contemplate in our home garden or dearest green area. Depicting it, we immortalized, preserved the moment of regeneration. As all of us need this reminder of renewal and the importance of simple and cheerful moments created by precious nature.

Solomia collection by RUDA Studio combines the stylization of vintage art deco and the philosophy of contemporary Ukrainian design. The pieces are created in the ancient straw marquetry technique. Straw is a very traditional and understandable material for Ukraine. Since Studio researches folk artisans' techniques of our country of origin, we decided to bring traditional marquetry to contemporary use.
