Every season offers interesting possibilities. In spring and summer I don't blur my backgrounds completely because the surroundings are like background singers to my subject in the spotlight. I do not remove grass, weeds or trees in my pictures. They are a part of nature and belong there.

In autumn and winter blurred backgrounds are used to create moody pictures, with colours or without. I do not hesitate to remove dead leaves, bare twigs or dead things sticking out of the snow.

The project is an example of my approach.
