Goblin Queen (Labyrinth fan art)

Sarah The Goblin Queen
You could easily say I'm a huge fan of the movie Labyrinth by Jim Henson. The concept of this piece was inspired by the ending of the movie. The Goblin King offers the heroine, Sarah, everything she could ever want. The catch being she would have to stay in his kingdom and be ruled by him. She chooses her own power and denies his offer.
I present my alternate ending where Sarah says yes and stays; eventually becoming the Goblin Queen.
I believe that illustrations should tell a story. There are details in this piece that show Sarah's history and transition to young woman into the Goblin Queen. The vest Sarah is seen wearing throughout the film has been refashioned to form her collar. Her crown is the inverted version of the symbol the Goblin King wears around his neck. Her cape and bone corset are similar styles to items worn by the Goblin King. And who could forget the infamous ballroom gown worn by Sarah during the masquerade; remade into a coronation dress.

Below is some line art and close up of some of the details.
