Rear Window Art

Description:
Rear Window Art is a book that was a design project that I worked while I was studying at Montclair State University. The subject of the book is about the Alfred Hitchcock film, "Rear Window," and its famous cinematography that plays an integral role in the film, not only in its setting, but as an overall character.

Concept:

The book’s purpose is to point out the memorable cinematography in the film, "Rear Window." To achieve this, I designed the book in a magazine format and included four articles that hit very important aspects of the cinematography in the film. The still frames are displayed as the most prominent feature throughout the layout of this book. Additionally, some stills overlap each other to indicate their connections through certain sequences throughout the film.

The cover for this book is a reference to the main location in the film, which is an apartment complex in Greenwich Village, New York City. In the film, the main character spies on his adjacent neighbor's activities with his binoculars.
