Challenge
The project work involves a travel company, a major player in the world of travel organization. The goal is to explore new suggestions and bring innovation to the way of thinking about travel, in a post-pandemic era in which being divergent becomes a powerful tool for strategic positioning.
Archetypes
A careful planner prefers to organize its trips in detail, in full autonomy. He often finds himself in the shoes of the travel agent for his fellows. It's a considerable commitment that requires different tools: a planner finds himself having to define an itinerary capable of accommodating the needs and desires of all the participants, who often rely on him and then join in the decision-making phase.
Process
In terms of user experience research, our team interviewed real careful planners, built user stories and use cases in order to better understand our audience. We have identified personas, roles, touch-points, goals and real needs trying to remove bias and preconceptions.
Solution
The careful planner organizes a trip in a shared way, defining packages of proposals in a simple and safe way, to plan a pleasant and interesting itinerary without too much effort. The planner wants to include the contribution of all participants, listening to their opinion but without overloading them with extra work.
In this process a travel company can play an active role by proposing itself as a reliable helper capable of responding to the needs, uniting the needs and mediating the preferences of all travelers, in a process of co-planning the trip.
