Miscommunication costs the U.S construction industry $30b p.a. It's a seemingly unsolvable problem, filled with complexities. Even large scale construction projects often have the bare minimum of text and phone calls to communicate.
What if we could solve that? What if we expand the physical, location based nature of the construction industry past just work, and into onsite communication?
My approach to the design process was a non-linear assessment of the state of communication within the construction industry.
This is the messy part. As communications is such a complex part of the human interaction, I needed to empathise with all stakeholders in the potential project.
