Social Media Manager

I worked for two different companies for four months as my required paid internship for my bachelor of Communication and Information Design. I worked remotely for BelmarkMedia and Uncontested Solutions.

My Social Media Coordinator consisted of two main roles: digital content creation and copywriting. My other tasks included the following: developed weekly and biweekly marketing strategies, hashtag trends, created weekly posting schedules, re-branded the entrepreneurial visual identity on their social medias, created and maintained their posting structures, generated new content, expanded audience and post engagements. My graphic design skills included: YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram graphics including banners and advertisements.

My key responsibilities for BelmarkMedia have been the following: applied specific methods for conducting audience and issues research, improved content and organized text and images collaboratively to reach their audience, designed information architecture within post graphics and content, created branding and identity systems, identified and implemented marketing strategies to reach and impact audience. 

Priorities:
Jon Lamont, Founder of BelmarkMedia had three priorities for his social media accounts: Marketing strategies, new series: motivational, business, and automation, and audience growth.
The process involved:
1. Marketing strategies:

Weekly tasks:
My weekly tasks included the following:
1. Created posting schedules and patterns.
2. Developed marketing strategies.
3. Analyzed hashtags and updating hashtags twice a month for optimal audience growth. 
4. Social media management included: creating Instagram stories, managing peak times for COVID, niche, and global/generic content. 
5. Expanded audience and post engagements by using a variety of copywriting styles for engagement and sales.
6. Identified and implemented marketing strategies to reach and impact niche and generic audiences.
7. Applied communication theory, graphic design principles, gestalt principle, and problem-solving to create branded content: hashtags, posts series, Instagram colour aesthetic and grid. The process involved merging her company’s pillars and new Boss Babe visual branding to align branded post series.
8. Created Instagram stories featuring quotes, family, and throwback pictures. 
9. Advertisements for LIVE webinars.
