As part of a series of explorations into Afrikaans masculinity, I created this scene as a play on the idea that 'a woman's place is in the kitchen'. Here, the man - clad in the traditional two-tone shirt - is emasculated by his participation in housework, as he is taking on the woman's role in the home.
