During the Spring of 2019, Maen Illustrates applied for the opportunity to participate in her first tabling event at the annual art market MiniComi. In preparation for the event, she prepared a variety of merchandise and art prints; she wanted to create something extra special for the event and decided on an illustrated tote bag.

Although Maen was excited at the idea of making her very first tote bags, the start up funds needed to begin the project exceeded her budget. With the ambition to bring this project to life, she reached out to her friends, family, and followers to help crowd-fund the tote bags through a Kickstarter campaign.

The campaign ran for 30 days from May 10th to June 9th 2019 and included multiple reward tiers for backers. In the end, Maen surpassed her funding goal of $500 CAD and successfully funded the project.

The Daydreamer tote bags measure at 12 x 16 inches (30.48 x 40.64 cm), fitting a 13” laptop perfectly and are great for day trips and shopping.
