Trolls & Shrooms
A recent commission of a set of three oil paintings featuring tiny trolls and mushroom characters. This was a really fun project to work on, although it also definitely pushed me to experiment and develop new techniques to add to my arsenal. I really enjoyed working out how to paint a woolly jumper and luminescent mushrooms.
Yeah, I know..they probably look way more like gnomes then trolls. I actually based them on trolls from Norwegian folklore.
Some work-in-progress shots. I worked on all three paintings at the same time, though finished the first 2 much faster while working out where to go with the third. Turned out the troll character needed a woolly jumper to wear!
