QuicaBot: AI-driven Autonomous Inspection Robot

QuicaBot (2019)
QuicaBot is an AI-driven autonomous robot designed to assist building inspectors with the intensive visual inspection for defects. Equipped with high-tech cameras and laser scanners, it picks up building defects like cracks and uneven surfaces.

Transforma Robotics engaged us to help re-think the overall experience design and the industrial design to enable a shift towards a more user-centric and seamless workflow.

As a day-to-day work-tool assistant, we re-imagined a highly operable, compact, and portable robot that works alongside the inspector. With an approachable yet robust aesthetic, QuicaBot is designed with detachable parts that make it easy to set up and keep, as well as to bring around.

The intentional shift from its original industrial and technical form to a commercial and user-centric solution allowed us to forge a strong physical brand identity for Transforma Robotics through design. QuicaBot is the desired work companion for building inspectors with meaningful innovations that enhances the overall workflow and boosts productivity.
