Healthy eating through early education
Obesity affects 1 in 3 children. The epidemic is getting national attention from First Lady Michelle Obama to Jamie Oliver and his "Food Revolution" TV show. For my thesis, I approached the problem as a designer, looking to change behavior. 

Using junk food advertising and marketing techniques, I worked with a 3rd grade classroom to make snack time a healthy, fun and engaging. Power Up! is a series of snack time recipes students make with their parents at home. Students bring the snacks in to have a group snack time. The students voted on their favorite snack and the group received a prize.
