Composition Experiments
Some quick experiments with composition and layout as a structure to support students in refining their layout skills when designing, using the same three design elements. Exploring scale, alignment, hierarchy, contrast, focal point, shape, line, balance, space, repetition and overlays.

I also do a similar workshop when exploring poster design, taking two pieces of text and one photo, then using mood boards and key examples to model various compositions and editing styles to create as many design variations and solutions as possible.
