ART DECO STYLE DEVELOPMENT
Onyx, Coral, Pearls, Diamonds, Platinum Pendant in the Art deco style.

The assignment was to choose a jewelry period/Style and create a piece incorporating major style elements.
I chose Art Deco as it is one my favorite styles and the design elements combine indefinitely.
MOTIF STUDY: PEARL NECKLACE WITH A DECORATIVE ELEMENT CENTER
Pearl Necklace with a central white gold front clasp/ charm pendant holding 3 Shell or unicorn horn shaped pendants. Left pendant is Blackened silver with a ruby cabochon, center pendant is carved blue chalcedony with inlaid pearls and a white gold pendant with a ruby cabochon.
Vellum on paper.
The necklace was imposed and the assignment was to decline a decorative element in different scales and materials. The charms are inspired by the works of Suzanne Belperron.
The concept was to make the front ornament functional and playful as it serves both as the clasp and the wearer can add or remove the charms.
PEARL NECKLACE: PUNK VARIATION ON A PEARL NECKLACE
Pearl Necklace with a front safety pin shaped front closure and an antique repurposed clasp in diamonds and platinum.

The concept was to refresh the pearl necklace and give it a more modern and whimsical touch. The story behind would be a punk bourgeoise fixing her grandmother's broken nice pearl necklace with a safety pin before going out.
I plan to develop this concept further into a more commercial design.
EARRING DESIGN: SHIBARI
Gold and Ruby Earring in the shape of a knot.

It is inspired by the Japanese rope art of Shibari and the rubies are a nod to the red ropes used sometimes.
Moon Shaped Gold Brooch
Gold moon shaped brooch with old European brilliant cut diamonds set with raised beads.
The assignment was to design a brooch which is not a type of jewelry I am really into. But I would probably reuse the shape as a pendant.
ARTICULATED BRACELET ASSIGNMENT
Coral, onyx and gold articulated bracelet.
The assignment was to create an 8 link articulated bracelet with a repeating pattern and box clasp.
Gents (UNISEX) JEWELRY: Cufflink and signet ring with elevation
Cufflink: gold beetle scarab with ruby detail. Would work as a charm too.
Ring: Signet ring in Gold with an old cut round brilliant diamond.
