SMUDGES, 2020
This project is a collection of 16 monotypes based on the childhood photographs of 4 different people, illustrating the common elements found among the images. These pictures have several elements in common, becoming therefore undistinguishable which image belongs to which person.
This technique allows for accidents to happen during the printing process, similarly to the human brain which unintentionally may lose/add certain information during the process of remembrance, thus depicting images that I find more fitting to represent our past “reality”.
