Burgas international film festival competition
The requested:
Design a poster for the Burgas International film festival, by projecting the city of Burgas.
Inspiration and outcome:
Both posters were created using highlights of the city, combined with recognisable symbols drawn from the film industry. For the first poster I have used a yellow-orange background symbolizing the sunny seaside city, and beach umbrellas that form an old filming camera. The language used is simple but eye-catching because of the use of complimentary colours.
For the second poster I have used a famous bridge of Burgas as an inspiration, simplyfying its form to an almost Bauhaus style (a style very viewable at the city's architecture). The yellow part implies the projection of a film.
