Urban areas, not only in the lyric, resemble living organisms that sometimes manage to escape the domain of human planning and control. Some of them, which in some period of time have been extremely active, at other times turn into stagnant dreams that have collapsed in the upcoming times, needs and new insights. Though only as traces of past values, they stand firm and disrupt the face of the city and our sense and need for ethics and aesthetics.
The aim of the research is to propose an inclusive model of urban articulation and reintegration of this extraordinary area located in the productive tissue of the city, by upgrading and interpolating new program contents of public character that will demonstrate the modern urban paradigmatic directions towards ecology as an integrated platform that unites people, nature and the built environment in the unique existential and cultural concept of sustainability.
